Moscow will host the IX International Viola Masters Competition under the direction of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Bashmet. The jury includes composer Alexander Tchaikovsky, People's Artist of the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of the Russian Concert Agency, the event will be held from November 8 to 16, 2023 in Moscow. The show is supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
The organizers stressed that 26 participants from six countries will compete for the prizes, the prize fund will be about 2 million rubles. The competition rounds will be held in the Bashmet Center and in the building of Izvestia publishing house. The closing gala concert and awarding of laureates will be held on November 16 on the stage of Philharmonia-2.
Recall that the Moscow authorities transferred 34 objects with an area of 44 thousand square meters to social institutions.
