School children visited museums 490,000 times in 2023

Moscow schoolchildren can visit museums for free within the framework of the project «Museums for Children», Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.

Within the framework of the project, the museums of the capital city have already been visited 2.7 million times free of charge using the "Moskvenok" card or Muscovite card since 2017. In 2023, schoolchildren visited museums 490 thousand times.

The most popular are the Darwin Museum, the Museum of Cosmonautics, the Museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno", museum-reserves "Kolomenskoye" and "Izmailovo", the Pushkin Museum. Moreover, five new museums became available, including the exhibition space of the Media Center of Zaryadye Park, the Museum of Cryptography and the House of Vintage Music.

Schoolchildren and students can visit the underground museum "Zaryadye", built around the foundation of the Kitaygorod Wall of the XVI century. Included in the list and the Museum "Old English Court" - the oldest representation of a foreign power in Moscow.

Earlier Sobyanin said that within the framework of the Moscow Week of Interior and Design concluded agreements for 15 billion rubles.
