At the initiative of the Moscow Department of Trade and Services, together with the city economy complex, the Mospitometz festival, dedicated to animals from shelters and domestic cats and dogs, will be held on Tverskoy Boulevard from August 15 to 17.
Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to talk to the inhabitants of ten municipal shelters, walk with them accompanied by volunteers, meet with representatives of the shelters and get useful advice on caring for four-legged animals. After the interview, the animal they like can be taken home, and the owners will be given a "Young Owner's Kit" to help them settle in comfortably in their new home.
In total, about 90 cats and dogs will be placed on the site organized as part of the "Summer in Moscow" project. If they wish, visitors will be able to leave food for the shelter animals in a specially designated basket.
Over 18 million people have visited the "Mosaquarium" over the 10 years of its operation.
The cat troupe of the Kuklachev Theater in Moscow has been replenished with animals from the SVO zone.
