The press service of the St. Andrew Foundation said that on May 4, before Easter, the Blessed Fire will be delivered to Moscow from Jerusalem.
The Foundation reported that on May 4, a delegation of the St. Andrew Foundation will bring the Blessed Fire from the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem to Moscow by special flight. Representatives of various dioceses will be able to meet the Holy Fire at Vnukovo airport, the Foundation added.
The relic will not be widely welcomed, the press service noted. The delegation of the fund will bring lamps to the Cathedral of Christ the Savior as part of the patriarchal Easter service. Also, representatives of parishes will bring the Grace Fire to fifteen churches in Moscow. Any believer will be able to receive a piece of this fire during Holy Week.
Holy Week is the last week before Easter. In 2024 it lasts from April 29 to May 4.
