Former industrial zone «South Port» will become one of the key sports centers of Moscow

On the territory of the former industrial zone «South Port» it is planned to develop a residential neighborhood, accompanied by a rich sports and cultural infrastructure.

In addition to residential complexes, at least 10 sports grounds, bicycle paths and active recreation areas will be created here. Architectural plans also include the construction of a museum of modern art and a theater.

According to the chairman of the capital Committee on architecture and town-planning, Juliana Knyazhevskaya, the new territory, occupying 25 hectares, will become not just a residential area, but also one of the key sports centers of the city. It is planned to place more than 10 sports grounds with modern simulators and equipment. In addition, a forest with unique art objects by contemporary artists will be created.

This project also includes the arrangement of the embankment, which will be connected with the central boulevard and green alleys, creating wonderful places for walking and recreation. Upon completion of all works, the former industrial zone "South Port" will be transformed into an attractive and picturesque neighborhood with a rich infrastructure and cultural environment.
