As reported on the official website of the mayor of Moscow, scammers may start acting during the long November weekend.

Petr Biryukov, the deputy mayor of Moscow for public utilities and amenities, noted that intruders may offer services for replacing the meter or checking the gas stove.

Biryukov recommended Muscovites not to let such "guests" in and not to buy expensive equipment from them.

The deputy mayor added that utility workers never come without warning, and the time of their visit is agreed in advance. Emerging emergency situations are an exception.

According to Biryukov, it is necessary to inform the police about the sudden checks of pseudo utility workers.

The head of the municipal economy complex added that information about planned inspections is placed in advance at the information board at the entrance and on the website of the engineering company conducting it.
