A parade of streetcars and vintage cars will be held in Moscow

A parade of streetcars and retro cars will be held in the Russian capital on July 13 in honor of Moscow Transport Day, the city's Department of Transport reports in its Telegram channel.

According to Deputy Mayor Maxim Liksutov, the current year is particularly significant for the Moscow tramway, which celebrated its 125th anniversary in April. As part of the celebration, about 15 historic carriages and cars from the collections of partners will pass through the center of the capital. The purpose of the event is not only to develop modern transportation infrastructure, but also to preserve the historical memory of the city's past.

The parade will start at 11:00 from Novokuznetskaya metro station and will pass through Bolshaya Ustyinsky Bridge and Boulevard Ring to Chistoprudny Boulevard. At 11:30 a.m. a static exposition of retro transport will open on Chistoprudny Boulevard and will be available for visiting until 18:00.

Moscow Transport Day is celebrated in the capital on the second Saturday of July, drawing the attention of the city's residents and guests to the history and development of Moscow's transportation system.

Earlier, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin told about the plan of the new season of "Moscow Tea Party", and also in Moscow summarized the results of construction in two districts for 12 years.
