More than 40% of Muscovites have immunity to SARS-COV-2 virus

Since the start of the pandemic, 43-44% of Moscow residents have developed immunity to the coronavirus infection.

Anastasia Rakova, Moscow's deputy mayor for social development, told RIA News on Friday, March 26, that already about 44 per cent of Muscovites have developed G antibodies.

Moscow systematically measures the level of population immunity, Rakova explained. She said that the current level suggests a high level of collective immunity, which "allows the city to live an almost normal life with minimal restrictions".

Muscovites have developed antibodies after illness or after vaccination. According to the latest figures cited by Anastasia Rakova, about one million people in Moscow have already been vaccinated against the coronavirus. Of this number, almost 80% have received the two components of the coronavirus vaccine.
