Two Russian tourists have been in Turkey for more than a month, unable to return home. Their vacation has turned into a real nightmare. The story began in early June, when the women arrived in Antalya. According to them, they drank some alcohol on the plane to cope with the excitement of the flight. However, at passport control, one of them was detained due to alleged “document problems.” A short time later, both women ended up at the police station.

According to their story, the following happened at the police station: the second Russian woman took out her phone to capture what was happening. The police officers tried to take the phone away from her, as a result of which the woman's fingernails were ripped out from the root. They were then approached by a female police officer who beat them up.

Both female tourists were eventually charged with resisting police, which could get them up to three years in prison. One of the women has been awaiting a court decision for a long time, but she has not been given an exact date because the judges are on vacation. The charges against the second Russian woman have been dropped, but the question of her return home remains open.

The situation is aggravated by financial difficulties. The women have almost run out of money, and they have to constantly move from place to place, as there are practically no places in hostels, and they can no longer pay 15 euros per day per person.

Earlier we reported that the Russian Embassy in Turkey is following the situation with Russian tourists in Antalya, who after a conflict with airport security guards are under a non-deportation order.
