The ship capsized several hours ago.
Divers in the town of Otradnoe, Leningrad region, found the body of a dead man in the tail end of a ship under construction at a local shipbuilding company. This was reported in the Northwestern Investigative Directorate on transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
It should be recalled that two workers were missing at the time of the accident. The second one is still being searched for. Divers are working at the site.
As a result of the accident, the ship under construction tilted at the shipyard, and then overturned. There were 80 people on board at the time. Many of them were in the open areas and left the ship immediately. Eight people were in the interior rooms. Water gushed into the holds. Six people got out on their own.
What caused the ship to tilt and why the workers were in the holds at the time will be found out during the investigation.
