Istanbul airports temporarily stopped receiving and sending planes due to the unceasing hurricane wind, Turkish Airlines reported.
Istanbul airports have suspended the reception and dispatch of aircraft due to the hurricane wind. The registration of passengers for flights departing from Istanbul has already been suspended. As for the aircraft in the air, experts are now assessing the possibility of re-routing them to other airports.
Turkish Airlines spokesman Yahya Ustyun on his Twitter advised passengers to clarify all information about flights on the official website or in the call center.
Recall that as a result of the hurricane, the speed of which in some places reached 130 meters per second, six people died in Istanbul and two provinces in northwestern Turkey, and another 46 were injured. There are no Russian citizens among the dead.
