The search continues for one man who has not been found and is reported missing.
In the Komi Republic, a group of fishermen (their number is not specified) who went fishing from a boat on the Pechora River died. This is reported by the North-West Transport Prosecutor's Office in its Telegram channel.
All the fishermen were found dead, except for one, who is still missing. His search continues, as well as the boat on which the men were sailing. The boat was apparently swept away by the current and has not been found yet.
According to the information of the supervisory body, on May 27, the company of fishermen was traveling along the Pechora River, and after a while the men stopped contacting each other. As a result of search and rescue measures they were found without signs of life.
Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting a check on the compliance of the dead with the legislation in terms of safety in the operation of water transport. It became known that the boat, on which the fishermen traveled along the river, was not registered in the register of small vessels.
Earlier it was reported about the death of five people who spent the night on the boat near the island of Tonky on Baikal. The captain of the boat and his passengers were poisoned to death by carbon monoxide.
