Two streetcars collided in St. Petersburg, 16 people were injured

Two streetcars collided in St. Petersburg on Bukharestskaya Street near Prospekt Slavy on Thursday, October 28. As a result of the accident 16 people were injured.

The accident occurred at about 09:45 Moscow time and was originally reported at 12 injured. The Health Committee of St. Petersburg reported that there were no children among the injured.

All the victims received injuries of average severity. Two people were taken to St. Mary's Hospital, seven are being treated at the Emergency Scientific Research Institute and an equal number are at Hospital number 26.

State unitary enterprise "Gorelectrotrans" in St. Petersburg reported that they would provide assistance to all injured. The department also clarified that the causes of the accident will be established by a special working committee, the circumstances are under the control of the Committee on Transport.
