Seismologists at Uppsala University in Sweden said that the situation with gas leaks at Russian gas pipelines was caused by explosions rather than natural phenomena. The experts deny the possibility of an earthquake or landslide in the region in question, Reuters reports.
Seismologists assessed the second explosion to be more than 100 kg of dynamite. Danish geologists share the opinion of Swedish seismologists. Geological Service of Denmark has recorded two episodes of seismic activity.
The first explosion took place at 02:03 local time (03:03 Moscow time), the second - at 07:03 (08:03 Moscow time), the service notes. After that, within a few hours recorded three gas leaks in the area of the Northern streams.
