A tour group was on board and seven other people were injured.
On Thursday, July 27, there was an emergency in the Altai Republic. A helicopter caught fire while landing in Tyungur. As reported in the State Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic, six people died as a result of the accident, seven more were injured.
As told in the department, according to preliminary data, a private Mi-8, presumably, at the approach to the landing hit electric wires and caught fire. Rescue teams are currently working at the crash site.
In Rosaviatsia reported that everything happened 200 kilometers south of Gorno-Altaisk. The helicopter belonged to the company "Altai Aviation". On its board was a group of tourists who were sent on an excursion. All in the helicopter were 15 people: 12 passengers and three crew members.
The victims were evacuated from the scene of the accident by helicopters. The Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case.
