JSC «Russian Railways» told about the monetary payments that will be received by relatives of the dead and injured passengers as a result of the train crash. The amount varies from 500 thousand to 2.025 million rubles.
The press service of JSC "Russian Railways" confirmed the death of two people as a result of the derailment of cars of passenger train No. 511 Vorkuta-Novorossiysk in the Komi Republic the day before. Earlier it was said about one dead. A 15-year-old girl, who was reported missing, was found alive.
"Relatives of the victims will receive an insurance payment of 2.025 million rubles. In addition, it was decided to pay an additional 2 million rubles each from the company," Russian Railways said. According to the press service, the passengers hospitalized after the accident will be paid Br1 million, while the rest of the injured - Br500 thousand.
In the evening of June 26, nine cars of passenger train No. 511, carrying 232 people, derailed at the Inta-1-Ugolny crossing of the Northern Railway. According to the Ministry of Health, 40 people were injured in the accident.
The Russian Railways company voiced a preliminary reason for the railroad accident: "washout as a result of heavy precipitation. To eliminate the consequences of the derailment in Komi, an emergency regime has been introduced.
The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case on violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of transportation (part 1 of article 263 of the Criminal Code).
