German police detained six Russians while trying to illegally cross the border.
Six Russians were detained in Germany while attempting to illegally enter the country from Poland, RIA Novosti reported. On January 25, about 4:30 a.m., the police of the Federal Republic of Germany stopped two cars traveling on Federal Highway 15.
Apart from the drivers, there were two adult citizens of Russia and their four children, ranging in age from one to nine years old. The passengers could only show expired residence permits in Poland.
The 40-year-old man and his 29-year-old wife are suspected of unauthorized entry. It is specified that after receiving their application for refugee status, the emergency services handed the family over to the initial reception center (migrants) of the state of Brandenburg.
