Altai-Sayan branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences reports an earthquake that occurred at about 8 pm on October 25 in the Ongudai district of the Altai Republic.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 60 km east of the village of Onguday and 133 km southeast of Gorno-Altaysk. According to experts, the intensity of oscillations at the epicenter was 4.9.
Experts report that the earthquake occurred on the territory of seismic activity, which has been monitored for 15 years.
