One of the minors accused of deliberately setting fire to a forest near the village of Atamanovka in the Zabaykalsk region fully admitted his guilt. The second detainee made use of article 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation. This was reported in the joint press center of the courts of the region.

It is also noted that both accused are 16 years old.
On 22 July, the Chita District Court arrested two teenagers who were accused of setting fire to a forest near Atamanovka. The detainee is facing up to 10 years in prison. The investigation estimates that the damage caused to the forest fund of Zabaikalya is more than 322 million rubles.
The fire in the area of Atamanovka, which lasted more than a week, was able to localize on an area of 7 thousand. ha.
