While breastfeeding a newborn baby, a domestic cat suddenly attacked him and caused serious injuries. The baby is currently in the hospital in critical condition.
A domestic cat in St. Petersburg unexpectedly attacked a newborn baby while his mother was breastfeeding. Incident occurred on January 24 in one of the apartments of house №63/1, located on Cosmonauts Avenue.
According to law enforcement officials, the injured baby, born on January 18, was taken to the city children's hospital. It is stated that the mother was breastfeeding the baby, when suddenly the pet jumped him and started biting.
As a result, the baby received bitten wounds on both sides of the frontal-parietal area. Its condition is assessed by doctors as serious.
It was determined that the child was born into a complete family, whose members were not registered.
According to the parents, the cat attacked the child at 13:00, and the boy was in the hospital at 13:45. The circumstances of the incident are being established. The fate of the aggressive cat is unknown.
