Out-of-control bus in St. Petersburg hit five people on the sidewalk, driver detained

City bus #152 in St. Petersburg flew out onto the sidewalk and literally swept five pedestrians under itself.

The accident occurred on Wednesday, January 24, at about 16.00 in Vasileostrovsky district of the Northern capital. At the intersection of Nalichnaya St. Beringa, the bus suddenly left the route and, ramming road signs on the way, drove onto the sidewalk.

The car stopped after five pedestrians were under the wheels.

The terrible incident was recorded by CCTV cameras.

It is known that the driver after the accident was in shock. And five victims were hospitalized. The condition of four of them is assessed as serious, another one - medium. Among those hit by the bus is a 16-year-old teenager.

According to preliminary data, the driver lost control of the bus because of numbness of the leg. The man has six years of work experience on city routes.

According to 78.ru, he was detained and taken to the police.

Earlier it was reported that in St. Petersburg, a pedestrian, hit by a car, fell under the wheels of a streetcar.

And in the Leningrad region a bus with children flew into a ditch.
