In the Shilovsky district of the Ryazan region, on the morning of October 22, a fire broke out in the workshop of the plant «Эластик»(Elastik). The Russian Emergencies Ministry previously reported the deaths of seven people as a result of the incident.
Later, TASS sources in emergency services reported that 16 people died as a result of the fire. The administration of the Shilovsky district reported on the localization of the fire, there is no threat to other workshops.
Among the main versions of the fire, a violation of technological processes is put forward. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also reported that there was no threat to the life and health of the population.
The workshop building collapsed due to a fire. According to the head of the Shilovsky district administration Vladimir Lukantsov, at the time of the fire there were 17 people in the shop.
Earlier it was reported about the death of five people as a result of the fire.
