In the U.S. state of Colorado, a cougar attacked a couple who were relaxing in a hot tub. This is reported by a unit of the Colorado Department of Natural Resources.
According to the department, a husband and wife rented a house in the woods and were resting in a Jacuzzi outdoors, and at that moment a cougar attacked them. Suddenly, the man felt someone clawing at his head and he began screaming and pouring water on the animal.
The woman grabbed a flashlight and shined it on the animal and realized it was a dangerous predator. The woman continued shouting and shining the light on the cougar, she was frightened and backed away, but she did not run away. She climbed the hill and waited. At that point, the spouse was able to run into the house.
There they treated the wounds and reported everything to the owner, who turned out to be an employee of the Department of Natural Resources. Representatives arrived on the scene and set traps. They also put warning signs there and notified the local residents. The search for the animal continues.
