Shelling of Turkish town of Karkamysh kills two people, injures six more

The PKK organization, which is banned in Turkey, shelled the town of Karkamysh.

The Kurdistan Workers Party, an organization banned in Turkey and to which the terrorist attack in the center of Istanbul is also attributed, shelled the city of Karkamish.

Two people were killed in the rocket attack. In addition, according to Davut Gul, the governor of the Turkish province of Gaziantep, six more people were wounded. The condition of two of them is assessed as serious.

The PKK reportedly fired five mortars/rockets at the city from east of the Euphrates. The strikes hit a school, two houses and a truck at the Karkamish border gate.

Earlier, the Kurdish Firat News Agency reported that the city of Kobani in Aleppo province in northern Syria was shelled by the Turkish side.
