33 people injured in truck-bus collision in Australia

Most of the victims were children. One of the girls was seriously injured and was helicoptered to the hospital.

At least 33 people were injured in Australia in a collision between a bus with schoolgirls and a truck, according to the TV channel ABC.

The accident, as noted by TV channel, occurred in the west of the state of Melbourne on Wednesday morning, September 21. The bus collided with a truck and then went off the road and overturned.

The driver of the truck and one of the girls who was on the bus were seriously injured. She was taken by helicopter to the hospital.

Twenty-six other girls, four accompanying adults and the bus driver were also taken to the hospital. They will be examined. No details of the children's condition are being reported.

According to the Daily Mail, the bus with the children was on its way to Melbourne airport. Then they were going to fly to the United States on a tour of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
