Kamchatka volcano begins to erupt

Rescuers appeal to tourists to stay away from the volcano as it will continue to erupt for several more days.

Another eruption of the Klyuchevskoy volcano is going in Kamchatka. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Kamchatka Krai.

Flanking eruptions are reported to form at an altitude of 2.5-2.7 km above sea level near the Erman glacier. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has noted that there is visual evidence of the formation of mudflows.

There are currently no tourist groups registered near the volcano, but there remains a risk of citizens visiting the dangerous territory themselves. Tourists are asked not to approach the volcano.
