Five Russians died in Saudi Arabia during Hajj

But only two were registered as pilgrims.

Five Russians, four of them residents of Dagestan and one pilgrim - a woman from the Moscow region, died during the pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia this year. This was told in the Russian hajj commission.

"Unfortunately, not without losses: according to the latest data, four people from Dagestan, one from the Moscow region died during the hajj. Only two of them were registered as pilgrims, the rest were pilgrim tourists performing rituals illegally, without a hajj visa," Hajj Commission head Hizbullah Asuev specified, his words quoted by RIA Novosti.

Two illegal pilgrims died after crossing several dozen kilometers, one pilgrim died of heart failure, the cause of death of the fourth believer is unknown.

Earlier it was reported about the death of 577 pilgrims during the hajj to Mecca in Saudi Arabia. To the death of people was caused by extremely hot weather, the air temperature reached +51.8 ° C.
