Operatives suppress activities of extremists in Volgograd

Members of the group denied Russia as a state and urged others to interfere with the activities of the authorities.

Operatives of the FSB and the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Volgograd region found a 41-year-old man and his accomplices in the capital of the region, who allegedly distributed extremist materials and secretly recruited followers.

Members of the group convinced people that the Russian Federation does not exist as a state, there are no laws that apply on the territory of the Russian Federation, and they also suggested that followers interfere with the activities of the authorities.

On November 18, the group's activities were suppressed. During searches of participants, they found extremist literature, forms for renouncing citizenship, the press of a banned organization, and more.

A criminal case has been instituted under part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation of the case is ongoing.
