In the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, January 18, there was an accident involving a passenger bus. Six citizens of Russia were injured in the accident.
A total of 15 people were injured in the accident. The accident occurred at a time when the tourist bus, in which the Russians were, was traveling to the Samana Peninsula. During the trip, it collided with two buses carrying local employees of the hotel and travel company.
Dominican authorities continue to investigate the incident. “As a result of the accident, four Russians were taken to ordinary wards for treatment. Their state of health is assessed as stable,” the press service of the tour operator Anex Tour reports.
Two more people were slightly injured and are being treated on an outpatient basis. One child was also injured. Currently, the tour operator is in touch with customers, and also provides the necessary support to all guests.
“The departure of Russian tourists to their homeland is scheduled for January 19 and 20. All the victims were insured, the tour was purchased from a third-party organization, ”the tour operator reports.
