In Hong Kong, local police arrested a woman on suspicion of killing a pigeon. According to local media, the police received a call from an unknown person who reported that a woman in the street had thrown a pigeon on the ground.
Law enforcement officers arrived on the scene and found the bird's corpse on the pavement. Police got on the trail of the 58-year-old woman and arrested her for animal cruelty.
She now faces a fine of up to $200,000 or three years in prison.
