Moscow Ring Road is again recognized as the most dangerous road in the Russian capital. From the beginning of 2021 to the end of October, 577 accidents were registered there, 44 people died, 687 were injured.
According to the Moscow State Traffic Safety Inspectorate, the most common accident on the Moscow Ring Road is a collision of cars, accounting for 68% of cases. Other frequent accidents include collisions with a parked vehicle (14%) and collisions with obstacles (12%), Rossiyskaya Gazeta writes.
To make traffic on the road safer, the Moscow authorities are planning to improve the infrastructure of the Moscow Ring Road. It is expected that additional lighting, new navigation systems will be installed on the road, and emergency "pockets" will appear.
