An unusual practice has been introduced in the Rostov region: police officers who refused a bribe, began to compensate the money offered to them, it was reported by the head of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Rostov region, Alexander Rechitsky.
According to Rechitsky, such a measure is aimed at supporting a firm anti-corruption stance of police officers.
At the same time, criminal cases under Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“bribery”) are obligatory initiated against persons who offered bribes.
Only for the last two months in Rostov region more than 25 criminal cases on the facts of bribery were initiated.
According to the head of the regional head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a total of 767 crimes of corruption were revealed in the first half of 2025, a significant part of which falls on the sphere of economy.
We will remind, earlier two employees of the Rosreestr in Tula detained for systematic receipt of bribes. Meanwhile, in Chelyabinsk, Deputy Minister Kharchenko was accused of bribes from tenders.
