The detentions took place during the next uncoordinated rally, in which pensioners participated. The protesters were dispersed with stun lights and gas.
Press Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus Olga Chemodanova reported on 186 detainees over the past Monday. On October 12, in Belarus, pensioners took to the streets to show their disagreement with the authorities.
The action was uncoordinated and ended with the use of tear gas and stun rounds. Chemodanova says that the protesters violated the legislation regarding the holding of mass events. A day earlier, on October 11, 713 people were detained in Belarus.
