60 people evacuated after dam breaching in Jewish Autonomous Region

60 people were evacuated after the dam breaching located in the village of Leninskoye in the Jewish Autonomous Region.

After the dam breaching located in the village of Leninskoye, Jewish Autonomous Region, rescuers urgently evacuated 60 people, as the water level in Amur rose to 930 centimeters.

Experts note that such a phenomenon is dangerous if the water reaches the mark of 850 centimeters. There is a state of emergency in the Leninsky district. About 30 courtyards have been flooded. The water level in Amur will be rising for several more days.

Now specialists are strengthening the dam. About 700 people and special equipment work on the spot.

A floating transporter has already left Khabarovsk for the Jewish Autonomous Region. In addition, aviation is on high alert.
