The couple was walking along the beach in the town of Phippsburg, when suddenly the woman fell into the sand up to her waist. "It seemed as if I just fell into a manhole cover," - shared impressions Acord. According to her, the sand in the place where it happened was the same as everywhere else.
Her spouse helped her out of the trap, as she was unable to do it on her own. Jamie was unhurt, with only a few abrasions on her arms. When the spouses returned home, the woman decided to write about the incident on social networks and warn users about the possible situation.
Commenting on the case, a representative of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, Jim Britt, explained that the story with Acord is not so rare and scary. According to him, it is impossible to drown in quicksand.
