In Virginia, a high school teacher was arrested for «indecent liberties» with a student.
Kristen McAllister, 32, was taken into custody Thursday, June 9, WTKR reported. The teacher was accused of taking "indecent liberties with a child by his caregiver."
The York County Sheriff's Office described the charge shorter, calling the crime of which the woman is accused acts of a sexual nature.
So far, the investigation has identified one victim of McAllister, a student at the school; law enforcement officials are unaware of the other victims. Police are currently investigating when, where and under what circumstances the crime occurred.
The mother of one of the students shared with the media her indignation over the case: she was outraged by the fact that the fact of abuse took place "on the same street where the school stands.
A friend of hers who went to school with the arrestee shared his opinion of McAllister. The man said she made a very good impression. "I still feel good about her. But, unfortunately, these things happen," he concluded.
