The Investigative Committee of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region has opened a criminal case against Novocherkassk Mayor Yury Lysenko. One of the employees of the city administration also fell under the criminal case.
Lysenko himself is suspected of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 6 of article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), while his subordinate is suspected of mediation in receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale (part 4 of article 291.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). This information was shared in the press service of the department.
The investigation believes that the mayor of the city received a bribe from the developer in the form of a plot of land and the construction of a house on it in 2024. The total amount of the bribe amounted to more than 8 million rubles. Another suspected employee was an intermediary in the transaction.
The IC said that the money was intended for the organization of the construction of a school at the expense of money from the budget on the territory being built by the businessman. In the future, the object was planned to be included in the program of the KRT of the Rostov region.
Later, law enforcement agencies conducted searches at Lysenko's home and workplace.
