A tent camp for Ukrainian refugees caught fire in Berlin

On Tuesday, March 12, a fire broke out in a tent camp for Ukrainian refugees at the former Berlin Tegel airport.

Thick black smoke was visible from afar. In extinguishing the fire took part 110 people of the fire department.

It is noted that there were no casualties among the campers, but several of them were taken to hospital.

The newspaper Berliner Zeitung specifies that three tents caught fire, the cause of the fire is still unknown.

More than 7000 people live in the camp, each tent accommodates about 380 refugees.

An investigation has been launched into the incident.

Earlier, opposition forces in the FRG called to send Ukrainians home.

The issue of giving Kiev citizens of conscription age is being discussed.

There are reports that only 25 percent of all Ukrainian refugees have found jobs in Germany.
