In Sergiev Posad, near Moscow, they detained a traffic police inspector who shot his own daughter in the head with a gun. The girl survived, she is now in intensive care.
According to preliminary investigators, the 47-year-old police officer and his 20-year-old daughter were driving in a cab from a cafe in the evening of November 11. At some point the man in the car shot the girl in the head and then walked out into the street and fled.
The cab driver immediately took the victim to hospital, where she was diagnosed with open head injury and fracture of the temporal bone.
There is information that the traffic police inspector had an argument with his daughter before the incident. By now the man has been detained and a criminal case has been initiated against him.
