In India, 15 hikers are stranded in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh state.
Russian tourists have been stranded in the mountains of Himachal Pradesh state in India. According to police chief Satwant Atwal Trivedi, we are talking about 15 tourists who cannot leave the area due to heavy rains and destroyed roads.
"We have received information from the Russian embassy that 15 Russian tourists are blocked in Kasol locality. We are trying to establish contact with them. As soon as we manage to do so, we will inform the embassy about their well-being," Trivedi was quoted by ANI news agency as saying.
At the same time, the Russian embassy noted that the tourists are safe in Kasol. According to TASS, rescuers have already started an operation to evacuate them.
In total, about 300 tourists remain in the mountains.
We would like to add that tourists in the Krasnodar region are also experiencing difficulties due to bad weather, where houses were flooded in a number of settlements, roads were blocked, and cars and roofs of houses were damaged due to hail.
