In Vologda, a senior lecturer of the Department of General History and Socio-Economic Disciplines of Vologda State University, Taisiya Tulinova, was killed by her roommate. Suspect in the murder of the woman, who in the past was her student, 28-year-old Vologda citizen, a native of the Republic of Tajikistan, was arrested, reports the joint press service of the courts of the region.
On this fact a criminal case under part 1 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder) was initiated. Taking into account the gravity of the committed crime, as well as information about the identity of the suspect, the Vologda City Court elected a measure of restraint in the form of detention until August 7 this year.
According to the version of investigators, a 36-year-old woman died on June 7 in the apartment of a multi-storey building on Marshal Konev Street in Vologda. There was a quarrel between the couple, and the man strangled his cohabitant, but it seemed to him not enough - after strangling, he stabbed his victim in the chest. Seeing that the woman was dead, her killer tried to commit suicide, but he survived and was sent to hospital. After the criminal case was initiated, the suspect was transferred to a specialized medical institution for convicts and persons in custody.
According to the information of the Vologda State University, Taisiya Tulina was known and appreciated at the university as an active participant in the educational and scientific activities of the university. In 2021, the teacher reached the semifinals of the All-Russian contest “League of Lecturers”, having overcome several qualifying stages. In 2022, she defended her dissertation for the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences.
