"Now with the help of voice robots they call bank customers and, having gained confidence, lure out information that allows them to make transactions in the customer's online bank," said the press service of the Moscow Department of Internal Affairs of Russia.

The department noted that the criminal scheme is simple: criminals call a man and, with the help of a banking robot assistant, report a suspicious transaction in the personal account. For example, it could be a money transfer, loan application and change of phone number, which is tied to a personal account.

Then the fraudsters ask to confirm the "suspicious" operations in tone mode. If the bank customer refuses, they connect him to a pseudo security service of a financial organization. The latter tries to get all the data of the subscriber during the conversation, told the Interior Ministry.

Because of the new fraud scheme police warn Russians that bank employees and their robotic assistants do not call citizens, and law enforcement officers are not asked to take part in a special operation. In addition, they reminded that if you are a victim of phone scammers, you need to immediately report the incident to the police, writes TASS.
