The main cause of the accident at the TPP-3 in Norilsk, Rostechnadzor experts consider a violation of the construction and operation of the tank.
The fuel spill at the TPP-3 in Norilsk in May of this year occurred due to violations during the construction and operation of the emergency tank, which was announced after an inspection by representatives of Rostechnadzor. At the same time, they excluded the effect of melting permafrost on the accident.
During the studies of the soil base in the collapse zone, experts identified some design flaws and shortcomings in the construction of the pile base of the tank. Therefore, part of the piles did not rely on rock soil, which ultimately led to an uneven distribution of load.
We remind, on May 29, as a result of damage to one of the reservoirs TPP-3 the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company, more than six thousand tons of diesel fuel fell into the ground, about 15 thousand tons - into local reservoirs. Federal Supervisory Natural Resources Management Service estimated the damage at 147.8 billion rubles. Meanwhile, the Norilsk-Taimyr Energy Company estimated it at 21.4 billion rubles. Federal Fishery Agency estimated losses from the accident at 3.6 billion rubles.
