In the Ota district of Tokyo, a man attacked a child with a knife.
According to NHK television, police were able to neutralize and apprehend the perpetrator, who was a 60-year-old man with no prior criminal record. The attack on the child occurred in the early morning hours of May 10 near Kamata train station.
The result of the attack was a stab wound. The minor was promptly taken to a medical facility for emergency medical care. The life and health of the schoolboy is no longer in danger.
Police initiated an investigation and have already found a kitchen knife with traces of blood near the scene. The perpetrator has not yet told the police anything about his motives. Investigators are carefully examining all the circumstances of the incident.
