According to the lawyer, the investigator of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs voiced the charge of embezzlement of 90 million rubles from the ex-owner of the bookmaker's office Alexander Gradulenko to the general director of "Melbet" Igor Lyapustin.

"My client is charged with fraud on a particularly large scale," - said Tsaplin.

It is known that the victim Gradulenko previously had problems with the law because of the illegal organization of gambling. In this regard, he sold his share to the Irish company Fixit in 2016. Lyapustin, on the other hand, acquired it for 90 million rubles in full compliance with the current legislation, the defense is confident.

The basis for the initiation of a criminal case was the statement of Gradulenko, in which he accuses the current owner of fraud and damage to the amount of 90 million rubles. The sale of the company was allegedly of a formal nature on his part and was intended to temporarily save assets from the claims of the financial regulator.

Investigators are conducting the necessary actions on the basis of Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation(fraud on a particularly large scale).

Official comments of the Main Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the situation are not yet available to the media.

Recall that last week the Tverskoy court of Moscow elected Lyapustin a measure of restraint in the form of a ban on certain actions for 1 month and 9 days.

In case of confession of guilt, the accused may face up to 10 years of imprisonment.

Earlier it became known that the deceased vice-president of LUKOIL was on trial for giving a particularly large bribe to FCS officers.
