A tragedy occurred at the airport of the Italian city of Bergamo: a man died after getting into the engine of an Airbus A319 airplane during taxiing. This was reported by the newspaper Corriere della Sera with reference to sources at the airport.
The man was reportedly pulled into a running airplane engine.
At the moment it is not clear who the deceased was - a passenger, an airport employee or an unauthorized person who entered the territory.
Due to the incident, Bergamo airport was temporarily closed for flights.
The airport's management company released a statement saying it is investigating the cause of the incident.
