About 300 people in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were killed by M23 rebels.
According to Agence France-Presse, these tragic events took place despite a cease-fire announced by the country's government.
DRC Industry Minister Julien Paluku said that the dead were probably civilians from the village of Kisiche.
According to authorities, 17 of the dead were children.
Patrick Muyatia, spokesman for the Congolese government, specified that there was no full information about the deaths due to the occupation of the area by M23 groups.
At the same time, the movement itself denies accusations of massacre of residents.
It should be noted that earlier the Russian Foreign Ministry reported the death of 120 civilians in Chisinau.
