An emergency evacuation of passengers and staff was announced at the Volgograd-1 railway station in Volgograd due to an emergency situation.
According to preliminary information, the evacuation could have been caused by the discovery of unattended luggage, which required immediate intervention by law enforcement agencies and security specialists.
Cynologists with dogs and an ambulance team quickly arrived at the scene. The station building was thoroughly inspected to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
Despite the emergency, train traffic was not disrupted. After the evacuation was announced, one train departed on schedule, and another arrived from Adler. Passengers were released through side exits, since the passage through the central vestibule was temporarily closed.
After completing the inspection and making sure that there was no threat, the Volgograd-1 railway station resumed its normal operation. Passengers and those seeing them off were allowed to return to the station building.
