It is known that this is the world's first fatal accident involving Tesla's Cybertruck electric vehicle. The case was initiated by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Investigators specified that the person killed in the accident on the evening of August 4 in the territory of Chambers County is the driver of the vehicle. According to Fox 4 Beaumont television station, the man allowed the vehicle to collide with a pipe. After overturning into a ditch and colliding with the reinforced concrete structure, the pickup truck caught fire. The owner of the TC died of his injuries at the scene.
