The Cuban authorities are asking friendly countries with experience in the oil sector to help extinguish a major fire at an oil storage facility in Matanzas province. This was reported by the Office of the President of the country.
According to Cuban media, the fire broke out on the territory of the oil storage tank after lightning hit the dome of the tank, which contained 25 thousand cubic meters of oil.
At least 67 people were injured. Seventeen more are still missing.
